Write down your first impressions of the book or play. Ask some questions. Write down quotations. Copy whole passages that are difficult or that you really like a lot.
The first pages come along with a boring but how ever still exciting mood. I was quite surprised when i realized that the whole story plays in a single dining-room of a suburban house. I couldn't imagine how one can write like 120 pages only about a family sitting in a room. But after some pages, and surely when the inspector joined the story, it was really interesting.I like how the book is written. It's unique writing style fascinates me in multiple ways. In general, I don't read many books. But with reading this book, I'm getting motivated for others and I can imagine that I'd read another book in the next days.
I didn't find any hard passages so here's one that's rather difficult:
Birling: Yes, of course. ( clears his throat.) well, Gerald, I know
you agreed that we should only have this quiet little family party. It's a pity
sir George and – we – lady croft can't be with us, but they're abroad and so it
can't be helped. As I told you, they sent me a very nice cable – couldn't be
nicer. I'm not sorry that we're celebrating quietly like this-
boring but how ever still exciting --> those are very opposite. How can something be boring but exciting?
AntwortenLöschenAwesome, it would be great if you kept reading. Especially in English :)
